Lyrics to "Everybody wants to be a cat, BOWS)

Ev'ryboy wants to be a cat
Because a cat's the only cat who knows where it's at.
Everybody's pickin' up on that feline beat
'Cause ev'rything else is obsolete.

A square with a horn makes you wish you weren't born
Every time he plays.
With a square in the act, you can set music back
To the cave man days.

I've heard some corny birds whot tried to sing
But still a cat's the only cat who knows how to swing
Who wants to dig a long-haired gig and stuff like that
When ev'rybody wants to be a cat.

Meow-ee-ow-ee-ow-ee-ow
Meow-ee-ow-ee-ow-ee-ow
Meoh-ee-oh-ee-oh-ee-oh
Meoh-ee-oh-ee-oh-ee-oh
Meoo-ee-oo-ee-oo-ee-oo

Lyrics to "the Butler Did It!/ Finale"

Aristocats: Roquefort!
Edgar: Give that back before I cook your goose!
Abigail/Amelia: Honk! Honk! Honk! Honk!
Edgar: Dogged at ev'ry step.
NapoleonCHARGE!
Edgar: How could it get any worse?
Aristocats: We're free!
Edgar: I've got to get out of here!
Alley Cats: Crazy man, crazy!

First it seemed like all our hopes were grounded,
Then we teamed an now he is surrounded.
If Cats! Mice! Dogs! Geese! call each other friend,
When all is done and said,
We'll all come out ahead,
We'll triumph over Edgar in - the - end!
Achoo!
Hooray!

Lyrcis to "Use Your Nose Reprise"

Bark Bark Ruff Ruff
Bark Bark Ruff Ruff
Scour the country side and ev'ry city street,
Keep your eyes and noses peeled for butler meat.
Here a butler, there a butler,
Caught in nothing flat.

Lyrics to "Everybody is Looking for a Cat"

Mousie, I think you're in the wrong part of town.
I need help! I'm looking for a cat!
Somebody is looking for a cat,
And would you look who it is:
A gerbil or rat! (MOUSE!)
We never met a gerbil or rat we didn't eat; (MOUSE!)
Now somebody's made our day complete. YEAH!

Lyrics to "Everybody Wants to Be a Cat"

Ev'rybody wants to be a cat,
Because a cat's the only cat
Who knows where it's at.
Everybody's pickin' up on that feline beat,
'Cause everything else is obsolete.

Ev'ry kitty cat can learn to swing
'Cause to a kitty, playing jazz is a natural thing.
What do you mean "jazz?"
Well if you don't know that,
You'll never, ever, ever be a cat.

A square with a horn,
Makes you wish you weren't born,
Ever'time he plays;
With a square in the act,
You can set music back
To the caveman days.

I've heard some corny birds who tried to sing,
But still a cat's the only cat
Who knows how to swing.

Who wants to dig a long-haired gig
And stuff like that
When ev'rybody wants to be a cat.

O'Malley: Scat Cat, I want you to meet some friends of mine. Friends of mine, meet Scat Cat.
Duchess: This is interesting music, Mr. Scat Cat.
Scat Cat: Jazz is the international language, m'lady. Rich or poor, big or small, dog, cat, mouse, whatever. Jazz brings us all together. Take it son!

A square with that horn,
Makes you wish you weren't born,
Ev'rytime he plays;
With a square in the act,
You can set music back
To the caveman days.

Scat Cat: Meow-ee ow-ee ow-ee ow
All: Meow-ee ow-ee ow-ee ow
Scat Cat: Meoh-ee oh-ee oh-ee oh
All: Meoh-ee oh-ee oh-ee oh
Scat Cat: Mew-ee oo-ee o-ee oo
AllMew-ee oo-ee oo-ee oo

Scat Cat: Eeny meeny miny mo
Scat Cat: Ev'rybody, All: ev'rybody
Scat Cat: Evry'body wants to be a cat!
Now you!

All: Ev'rybody,  Scat Cat: ev'rybody
SPOKEN:
Ev'rybody wants to be a cat!
Ev'rybody wants to be a cat!
Ev'rybody wants to be a cat!
Ev'rybody wants to be a cat!

Everybody wants to be a cat,
Because a cat's the only cat
Who knows where it's at;
While playin' jazz you always has a welcome mat,
'Cause everybody wants to be a cat! (BIG FINISH)
All: Evry'body wants to be a cat!

Lyrics to "Thomas O'Malley Cat"

"Who am I?"
"Boys?"

He's Abraham deLacy
Giuseppe Casey
Thomas O'Malley ("You got that right!")
O'Malley, the alley cat!

I've got that wanderlust (ah - oo)
Gotta walk the scene (the scene, the scene)
Gotta kick up highway dust (ah - oo)
Feel the grass that's green (so green, so green)
Gotta strut those city streets ("yeah")
Showin' off my eclat ("I don't know about that")
Tellin' my friends of the social elite
Or some cute cat he happens to meet
That I'm (that he is) Abraham deLacy ("You're deLacy")
Giuseppe Casey ("That's Italian for cool")
Thomas O'Malley ("The Fantastique")
O'Malley, the alley cat!

He's king of the highway
Prince of the boulevard
Duke of avant garde
The world is his backyard
So if you're goin' my way
That's the road you wanna seek

Calcutta to Rome or
Home-sweet-home in Paris, Magnifique
'Cause  I'm ('Cause he is) Abraham deLacy (Abraham deLacy)
Giuseppe Casey (Giuseppe Casey)
Thomas O'Malley (Mr. O'Malley, Darling)
O'Malley, the alley cat!

And I'm very proud of that
Thomas O'Malley the alley cat.
Oh, yeah!

Lyrics to "Use your Nose"

Bark! Bark! Ruff! Ruff!
Bark! Bark! Ruff! Ruff!
Sniff! Sniff! Sniff!
Sniff! Sniff! Sniff!

Marching into combat as comrades in arms,
We're the Royal Order of Canine Gendarmes.
First we catch your scent and then we get you in our sights;
If you dont like our barks, you're going to hate our bites!

Private Lafayette!
Private Vichy!
Private Sscoise!
Reporting for duty, sir!
General Napoleon accepting your report!

Bark Bark Bark Bark Ruff Ruff Ruff Ruff
Bark Bark Bark Bark Ruff Ruff Ruff Ruff

Whether you are hiding out in grand chateaus,
Or skulking down in cellars where the fungus grows,
Just one whiff and in a jiff' we'll have you by the toes:
We always get our man because we use our nose!

WOOF!

Lyrics to "Scales and Arpeggios"

"It's important to have a well-rounded education.
You never know when a knowledge of music might come in handy."
Do, do, do mi, do mi
Do mi so mi, do mi so mi
Do mi so mi, do mi so mi     Do mi so do do so mi do, Do mi so do do so mi do

Ev'ry truly cultured music student knows
You must learn your scales and your arpeggios
Bring the music ringing from your chest and not your nose
While you sing your scales and your arpeggios

Do mi so mi, do mi so mi     Do mi so do do so mi do     "Oh no, not that horrible caterwauling!"
Do mi so mi, do mi so mi     Do mi so do do so mi do     "I hate that noise!"

I wish I could get those cats to stop that sound
I wish I could ship them where the won't be found
I'd take them far away and where they'd wake up goodness knows
Then no more singing scales and their arpeggios

Do mi so mi, do mi so mi     Do mi so do do so mi do    "I've got it! More milk! That will put them to sleep"
Do mi so mi, do mi so mi     Do mi so do do so mi do    "Then I can catnap them and leave them somewhere where I never have to hear that again"

Though at first it seems as though it doesn't show                                                     Once you all go nighty-night
Like a tree, ability will bloom and grow                                                                        I will sneak you out of sight
If you're smart you'll learn by heart what ev'ry artist knows:                                        Drop you somewhere in a ditch
You are singing scales and your arpe-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-ggios                        Then I'll end up really rich (ha ha ha ha)

Do si la so fa mi re, do mi so mi do-----                                                                       Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha haaaaaaa!

lyrics to the prologue

Le Meow
Crazy, man, crazy!
Come on, alley cats, sing it!

Everybody wants to be cat
Because a cat's the only cat who knows where it's at
Everybody's pickin' up on that feline beat
'Cause everything else is obsolete
Yeah, Man!

Good morning, good morning
Thank you, you're welcome!

Which pet's address Is the finest in Paree?
Which pet possess the longest pedigree?
Which pets get to sleep on velvet mats?
Naturalment! The aristocats!

Well, if it ain't the aristocats
What are those fancy cats doing on our side of town?
Crazy man, crazy!
Toulouse! Marie! Berlioz, come along, kittens
Yes, mama

Oh, look at me, I'm an aristocat
I have a diamond collar and fancy fur-do

Which pets are blessed With the fairest forms and faces?
Which pets know best all the gentle social graces?
Which pets live on cream and loving pats?
Fa fa fa fa! The aristocats!

We show aristocatic bearing when we're seen upon an airing
And aristocatic flair in what we do and what we say! Aristocats are never found In alleyways or hiding 'round
The garbage cans where other kitties play, YUCK

Duchess and kittens, you're so well behaved!
I just love being on the town with my beautiful cats!
Which pets are known to never show their claws?
Which pets are prone to hardly any flaws?
To which pets do the others tip their hats?
Nat'rellement! Ha ha ha ha.
Nat'rellement! The Aristocats!

Oh, Edgar my loyal butler there you are!
Would you mind staying with the cats for just a minute?
I know they make you sneeze.
Achoo! Not at all, madame. You know I love those cats as if they were my very own.
Achoo! I have served madame for many years and what thanks do I get?

A life of shame completely de rigeur
I've been reduced to a kitty cat chauffeur
I'm forced to serve these feline spoiled brats
Oh how I hate the Aristocats!

Time to head home
Good kitties I love you. Achoo!
I have a surprise for you!

Some cats end up in far off scary places
Some cats end up in crazy comic chases
Which cats are which? Now hold on to your hats
Join the soirĂ©e! Who'll save the day?
Just watch the play, "The Aristocats!"
Achoo! Meow!
